Welcome to the RAS Range Management System demo. This interactive demo lets you explore the full capabilities of RAS software used by driving ranges, bowling alleys, and entertainment venues worldwide.

Navigation

• Sidebar Menu — Click the hamburger icon in the top-left to open the navigation menu.
• Bays — View and control all bays in your range from the main bay grid.
• Stats — View performance KPIs, revenue metrics, and historical data.
• Controls — Bulk start, stop, or manage multiple bays at once.
• Members — Manage members, waitlists, and balances Production Only
• Settings — Configure venue preferences and user access Production Only
• Reports — Generate detailed error and operational reports Production Only

The bay grid is the heart of RAS. Each square represents a physical bay at your venue. Click or hover over any bay to see details and take actions.

Hover Card Actions

Hovering over a bay reveals a detail card with contextual action buttons:

• Start — Begin a new session (choose Balls, Time, or Freeplay mode).
• Stop — End the current session and return the bay to Available.
• Add Balls / Add Time — Extend an active ball or time rental session.
• Error — Simulate an equipment error on the bay.
• Clear Error — Resolve an error and restore the bay to its previous state.
• Shutdown — Take a bay offline (e.g., for maintenance).
• Enable — Bring a shutdown bay back to Available status.

Starting a Session

Click the Start button on any Available bay to open the start session panel. Choose from:

• Ball Rental — Customer receives a set number of balls (50, 100, 150, 200, or 300). The bay tracks balls remaining and automatically ends when depleted.
• Time Rental — Customer receives a set duration (15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes). A countdown timer displays time remaining.
• Freeplay — Unlimited balls and time. The bay tracks total balls hit but does not auto-expire. Ideal for events, staff practice, or promotions.

Each bay is color-coded to indicate its current status at a glance:

Use bulk controls to manage multiple bays simultaneously. Access them from the Controls menu in the sidebar.

Start Bays

Open the Start control to activate multiple bays at once. Choose which bays to target:

• All — Applies to every bay in the venue.
• Range — Enter a start bay and end bay number (e.g., Bay 1 to Bay 16).
• Custom — Enter specific bay numbers and ranges using comma-separated syntax.

Then select the mode type:

• Balls — Start a ball rental with a selected count.
• Time — Start a time rental with a selected duration.
• Freeplay — Start freeplay mode.
• Available — Set bays to Available (enable without starting a session).

Stop Bays

Open the Stop control to deactivate bays. Mode options:

• Stop — End active sessions and return bays to Available.
• Shutdown — Take bays offline completely.
• Enable — Bring shutdown bays back to Available.
• Clear Errors — Clear equipment errors and restore previous state.
• Trigger Errors — Simulate equipment errors for testing.

Move an active session from one bay to another without interrupting the customer. Access this from Controls > Move in the sidebar.

• Select the source bay (must have an active session).
• Select the destination bay (must be Available).
• The session transfers with all its data — balls remaining, time remaining, and member info are preserved.

Customize the bay grid to match your venue's physical layout. Click the gear icon on the bays page to open the layout panel.

Layout Options

• Rows — Add or remove rows (1 to 4 rows supported).
• Bays Per Row — Adjust each row independently with sliders (1 to 50 bays per row).
• Row Labels — Enable custom names for each row (e.g., "Level 1", "Level 2", "VIP Deck").
• Total Bays — Maximum of 120 bays across all rows.
• Reset — Revert to the default 2×20 layout.

RAS integrates with popular third-party platforms to provide a unified management experience. Select an integration from the layout panel to see how bays display with different partners.

The Statistics dashboard provides real-time and historical performance metrics for your venue. Access it from the Stats menu item.

Key Performance Indicators

Date Range & Comparison

Use the date range picker at the top of the dashboard to filter data by custom periods. The system automatically compares your selected range against the previous equivalent period and shows delta indicators:

• Green arrow up — Metric improved vs. previous period.
• Red arrow down — Metric declined vs. previous period.

Customize which KPIs appear on your dashboard and how they're arranged:

• Drag & Drop — Click and drag any KPI card to reorder it. Your layout is saved automatically.
• Select KPIs — Click the settings icon to choose which KPIs to display. Toggle metrics on or off based on what matters most to your operation.
• Download — Export your KPI data as a PDF report for sharing or record-keeping.

The ball count tracker appears as a collapsible bar on the bays page. It displays the total balls hit today across all bays in real time.

• Click the bar to expand or collapse the display.
• The counter updates live as sessions progress.
• Your expand/collapse preference is saved between visits.

RAS monitors equipment health and alerts operators immediately when issues are detected.

Error Indicators

• Red flashing bay — The bay card pulses red to draw attention.
• Top bar error icon — A red warning icon appears in the header when any bay has an active error.
• Error log — All errors are recorded with timestamps, bay number, error type, and duration for reporting.

Resolving Errors

• Hover over the errored bay and click Clear Error to restore it to its previous state.
• Use Controls > Stop > Clear Errors to clear errors on multiple bays at once.

Simulating Errors (Demo)

In the demo, you can trigger test errors to see how the system responds:

• Hover over an Available bay and click the Error button.
• Use Controls > Stop > Trigger Errors to generate errors on multiple bays.

• Member Database — Create and manage customer profiles with contact info, balance, and session history.
• Card Scanning — NFC card integration for quick check-in at the front desk or bay.
• Balance System — Prepaid ball balance tracked per member with auto-deduction during sessions.
• Waitlist — Digital waitlist with estimated wait times that persists across server restarts.
• Digital Wallet — PassKit integration for Apple Wallet / Google Wallet membership cards with live balance sync.

The Settings area provides full venue configuration: Production Only

• General Settings — Venue name, timezone, bay numbering, icon sizes, and display preferences.
• Bay Colors — Customize the color scheme for each bay status to match your branding.
• Feature Flags — Enable/disable modules like Members, Card Readers, Coupon Printers, and Vending Machines.
• User Management — Create operator accounts with role-based permissions (Owner, Manager, Staff).
• Integration Setup — Configure third-party platform credentials and sync preferences.
• Card Reader Type — Choose between Card Emulator, Card Scanner, or No card reader per venue.

Generate detailed reports for analysis and record-keeping: Production Only

• Error Reports — Detailed breakdown of equipment errors by bay, type, frequency, and total downtime.
• Session Reports — Historical session data with filtering by date range, bay, and session type.
• Revenue Reports — Track ball and time rental revenue with trend analysis.
• Utilization Reports — Identify peak hours, underused bays, and optimization opportunities.
